First of all, thank you for reaching out to me through my Twitter profile link.  My name is Mario Sanchez Carrion and I’m the person behind this blog.  For the last 20 years I have worked in marketing and product development, helping world class brands succeed in international markets.

What is Shoestring Branding?

Shoestring Branding™ is my blog, a platform where I try to blend my business experience in the corporate world with my passion for branding, social media and Internet marketing.  My main focus is to explore how relatively new tools like blogs and social networks are transforming the world of branding by giving individuals the ability to build powerful personal and small business brands on a shoestring budget.

If You Follow me on Twitter

I use Twitter to communicate on a more personal level, that is why aside from marketing and branding, you will also see me post about other topics that interest me, like travel, food, cars, politics and personal finance. I usually write between three to five posts (tweets) per day, or whenever I find something valuable and interesting to share. I don’t automatically follow everybody, since I want to keep my Twitter feed manageable.

Normally, when I get a new follower, I will read a few tweets to see if they are related to my fields of interest, and follow the link on the follower’s profile to take a quick look at their website or blog. If I find them relevant, I usually follow back. If this sounds good to you, I look forward to connecting with you through Twitter!
