Mobile Sites and QR Codes

The image above is the QR Code for the mobile version of Shoestring Branding.
Originally used to track parts in automobile manufacturing, QR codes are two-dimensional bar codes that are being used more and more in mobile marketing. They can be seen in billboards, print ads, promotional fliers, etc.
By scanning the QR codes on these marketing vehicles with their mobile phones, users are transported to mobile-friendly websites where they receive more information about the products and promotions.
To read QR codes, you need to install an application called a QR Code reader on your mobile phone, which basically turns your camera phone into a scanner.
If you decide to install QR Code reader and want to give it a try, just take a picture at the QR code above, and you will automatically be transported to m.shoestringbranding.com (in the meantime, to access us from your mobile phone, you may just type m.shoestringbranding.com).
If you want to create a mobile-friendly site for your blog I’ve created a brief tutorial, which will also show you how to create your own QR Code for your site or blog.
